About Us
We are a research group working on algebra and geometry from theoretical, computational, and applied perspectives. Our research connects fundamental questions in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra with algorithmic methods and applications in related scientific areas.
The group brings together researchers with diverse expertise, fostering collaborations across pure and applied mathematics.
Research Interests
- Polynomial system solving
- Sparse polynomial systems
- Commutative algebra
- Algebraic geometry
- Real and toric geometry
- Differential algebra
- Elimination theory
- Non-negativity and sums of squares
- Computational algebra
- Algorithms and complexity
- Applications to biological systems
Seminar
The group actively participates in the Polynomial Equations Seminar, a joint seminar of the Department of Mathematics (DM) and the Instituto de Cálculo (IC).
The seminar focuses on topics related to polynomial systems, algebraic geometry, and computational methods. It serves as a platform for presenting ongoing research, recent results, and work in progress by members of the group and invited speakers.
For information about upcoming talks and past activities, see the seminar webpage. To join our mailing list, please contact Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo..
